Florida Winter 2010 (January 28-February 13, 2010)

A few pictures from our trip to Florida.
Our day at Epcot
Spaceship Earth (Epcot's icon) The Living SeasThe Seas with Nemo and Friends
Future World Pavilion
Norway Pavilion Mexico Pavilion As we were sitting in the Mexico Pavilion, there was a squirrel climbing in and on the strollers parked outside an attraction. The little guy was looking for food and snacks. It's a common occurance to see a squirrel doing this and then run away with a cookie or something.
Spaceship Earth and the Musical Dancing Fountain

Downtown Disney
One night we watched the fireworks from the Illuminations show from the Boardwalk. Part of the Boardwalk The Boardwalk Entertainer. This guy is hilarious.
We went over to the Peabody Hotel to see the Peabody Ducks.
Here they are in the Royal Duck Palace before heading down to the lobby.
Getting in the elevator, reserved just for them.
Once the elevator door opened, they came running out, down the carpet, up the stairs, and into the fountain.
Eating their lunch in the fountain where they will spend the rest of the day.

Our Day at the Magic Kingdom

Since it was the day after the Superbowl (in Miami), we were told there was going to be a parade with the New Orleans Saints. After standing around for what felt like forever, here it was. Just one car long, with Mickey Mouse and Drew Brees, followed by Minnie Mouse and Goofy and a bunch of cheerleaders.

Cinderella Castle and the famous "Partners" statue

After being in Orlando for a week and a half, we went over to Zephyrhills.

While there, we went over to Plant City to get strawberries at Parkedale Farms. Here's our treat. Strawberry Shortcake and a Strawberry Boat. Yummm!!!

The best place in Zephyrhills to eat. Especially breakfast. It'll just be 2 minutes. The guy that runs this place is so funny.
"The" donut shop in Zephyrhills. A tiny place with only a few chairs, but get there early or you won't get any donuts either. Trying to get a table for 6 was the biggest challenge we had the entire trip, I think. Bonnet Creek Resort. This is where we spent the first week of our vacation.

The turtle races at the resort. Mine is the one with the pink on it.Looking from our balcony we could see the huge bowling pin stairwells from the Pop Century Resort.
