Our Polka Dotted Pool (August 9, 2009)

Once again, our solar cover decided to disintigrate. All of the little bubbles started to pop leaving a million little blue and plack pieces of plastic in the pool. I spent about 10 hours scooping them all out and then had to go get a new cover. Not a fun couple of days.

The Calumet was in Sandusky to load coal for Green Bay, Wi, but had to wait a while for the John B. Aird to leave.

Happy Independence Day!!!! (July 3-5, 2009)

For the 4th of July weekend, I went over to Chautauqua for the weekend to celebrate the holiday with family. Unfortunately, Jay was still on the boat, although the evening of the 4th, they went by Sarnia/Port Huron and spent most of the evening in the St Clair River/Lake St Clair.
